Mandalas

Mandala is a Sanskrit word meaning "Whole World" and "Healing Circle". Mandalas have been used for centuries in all cultures. They are used for prayer and meditation, as spiritual symbols and protection signs, and in healing practices.

Description: I wanted this Mandala to symbolize the earthy and tribal designs of the sacred spiral, a symbol used in numerous cultures throughout history. This ancient symbol is one that I use frequently in my art. I see it as the Earth Mother aspect of the Divine Feminine.
